Creating a General Declaration<\/h1>\n

How to create, complete, and submit a GenDec for an international flight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before you start<\/h2>\n

Make sure you have already set up at least one\u00a0<\/span>aircraft<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and added all\u00a0<\/span>crew members<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>who will be on this flight. The GenDec will not be complete without these.<\/p>\n

A GenDec must usually be submitted before departure. Prepare it on the ground, not in the air.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Creating a new manifest<\/h2>\n

  1. From the home screen, tapCreate Manifest \/ GenDec<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Select theaircraft<\/strong>for this flight from your saved list.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter thedeparture aerodrome<\/strong>(ICAO code) anddestination aerodrome<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Set thedate and estimated departure time<\/strong>(UTC).<\/li>\n
  5. Addcrew members<\/strong>to the manifest \u2014 tap each name to include them.<\/li>\n
  6. Add anypassengers<\/strong>if required by the destination country.<\/li>\n
  7. Review the completed form, then tapSave<\/strong>orSubmit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Passenger requirements vary by country. Check the rules for your specific destination \u2014 some countries require full passenger passport details on the GenDec, others do not.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Flight details \u2014 field by field<\/h2>\n

    Departure \/ Destination (ICAO)<\/h3>\n

    Use the 4-letter ICAO aerodrome code (e.g.\u00a0<\/span>EGKB<\/code>,\u00a0<\/span>LFAT<\/code>). Do not use IATA codes.<\/p>\n

    Date and time<\/h3>\n

    Always enter times in\u00a0<\/span>UTC (Zulu)<\/strong>, not local time. This is the standard for aviation documents.<\/p>\n

    Aircraft<\/h3>\n

    Selecting your saved aircraft will automatically fill in the registration, type, and operator details. If these are wrong, update them in\u00a0<\/span>Aircraft Setup<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>first.<\/p>\n

    Crew in command<\/h3>\n

    The first crew member in the list is treated as Pilot in Command. Drag to reorder if needed.<\/p>\n

    Nature of flight<\/h3>\n

    Typically\u00a0<\/span>Private<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>for general aviation. Select\u00a0<\/span>Other<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>and enter a description if required by your destination.<\/p>\n

    All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required for a valid GenDec. The app will highlight any missing fields before letting you submit.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Saving and submitting<\/h2>\n

    Save as draft<\/h3>\n

    Tap\u00a0<\/span>Save<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>at any point to store a draft. You can return to it from the home screen under Recent Manifests.<\/p>\n

    Submit to server<\/h3>\n

    If you are connected to a server (see\u00a0<\/span>Server & Connectivity<\/a>), tapping\u00a0<\/span>Submit<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>will send the GenDec directly. You will see a green confirmation when it is received.<\/p>\n

    Export \/ Print<\/h3>\n

    Use the\u00a0<\/span>Share<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>button to export the GenDec as a PDF for printing or emailing to the handling agent or border authority.<\/p>\n

    Submitting to a server does not replace your obligation to present the physical document if required. Check local requirements at your destination.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Editing and copying manifests<\/h2>\n

    To edit a saved manifest, tap it in the\u00a0<\/span>Recent Manifests<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>list and tap\u00a0<\/span>Edit<\/strong>. Note that a submitted manifest may be locked \u2014 duplicate it first if you need a new version.<\/p>\n

    To copy a previous manifest (useful for regular routes), tap\u00a0<\/span>Duplicate<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>from the manifest detail view. This copies all fields \u2014 update the date, time, and crew as needed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
