EU and UK rules mean that non residents from either zone can only spend 90 days in any 180 in either territory.
So a UK passport holder may not exceed 90 in any rolling 180 days in EU and vice versa for EU passport holders
EU is defined as the member states plus EAA states (Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein) plus small principalities such as Monaco, san Marino, Andorra Lichetenstein and Vatican city.
for EU citizens visiting UK Ieland is an exception because it is part of the CTA (Common Travel Area) and Irish citizens have indefinite right of residence in uk and vice versa for UK citizens.
The ‘totalizer’ relies on all journeys being recorded and being symmetrical – that is to say there must be an outbound and return journey whichever jurisdiction one is totalising nights for. Where there are one way journeys erroneous results occur. If for example you have a one way private flight but come back commercial. Where there are not symmetrical ‘pairs’ of journeys the App will ask you if you wish to delete one of the non paired journeys or add another dummy record of the return commercial flight and the symmetry is restored . This can be done for the owner/pilot but also for crew.
select “create or review” on main menu and you will see a list of recorded Gars/gendecs
there is a button called Journey Report
Click on journey report button and you can select a crew member. It will work out from crew passport details on GAR/gendec the nationality and will carry out the analysis of nights spent for the appropriate territory
This will be represented as a series of symmetrical journeys (in/out in contrasting colours) with a total for last 180 days at the top. A user choice of time period is in preparation so that you may analyse different periods than the last 180 days
