What is MyGar.net / Manifest6?
MyGar.net is the website behind Manifest6, the successor to OnlineGAR.com.
Manifest6 is the multiplatform app for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android that helps general-aviation pilots create the declarations required when travelling across borders.
It is important to understand that Manifest6 does not replace your normal flight-planning software. It complements it.
Information you have already entered into your flight-planning system can be used to help create the declarations required by border and other authorities.
An international flight involves three separate jobs
These are often confused because they may all be dealt with around the same time, but they are not the same thing.
| 1. PLAN THE TRIP | Work out the route, destinations, aircraft capability and what is achievable. ForeFlight, SkyDemon, Garmin Pilot, EasyVFR, RocketRoute and Autorouter can help with this. Weather assessment is another part of this stage, often using yet other tools. |

| 2. FILE THE FLIGHT PLAN | Tell Air Traffic Control where and when you intend to fly. This is the job performed by your flight-planning / flight-plan filing system. |

⚠️ A flight plan is NOT a border notification
An ICAO flight plan has no passenger or crew manifest field. Its Item 18 information, including RMK, is part of the ATS flight-plan message and is intended for the aviation/ATS system. It is not a mechanism for sending your passenger or crew manifest to Border Force or other border authorities.
Be very careful with advice from general-purpose AI assistants.
AI assistants know a great deal about flight planning, but considerably less about general-aviation border notification. They can therefore produce answers that sound authoritative but are completely wrong.
We have actually seen an AI assistant advise a pilot to “ditch” Manifest6 and put the passenger information into the flight plan instead. That advice was wrong.
An ICAO flight plan is sent through the air-traffic system. It is not a GAR, GenDec or border notification, and putting passenger or passport information into Item 18/RMK does not turn it into one.
Following that advice could leave a pilot undeclared at the border and potentially liable to a fine of up to £10,000.
The simple test is: who receives the data? If the answer is Air Traffic Control or the flight-plan system, you have not thereby notified the border authority.

What happened to OnlineGAR.com?
MyGar.net and Manifest6 are the successor to OnlineGAR.com. The system has evolved into a multiplatform application while retaining the same core purpose of helping GA pilots with border declarations.
Is the app free?
Yes. Manifest6 is provided on a pro-bono basis for the GA community.
Does MyGar.net store passenger manifests?
MyGar.net does store your personal or even flight info. It is a deliberate choice to move away from providing a cloud service on MyGar.net server. We only retain your email username and password to enable recreation of your account. NO declarations are stored except on your own devices. You are responsible for the security of this data not MyGar.net. The app allows you to synchronise this data between devices using a ‘cloud service’ of your own choice and control
Is it compliant with UK Border Force requirements?
Yes. MyGar/Manifest6 has been operating in compliance with the UK Border Force “Permission to Travel” requirements since 27 February 2026.
