Our website address is: https://mygar.net. We have been involved in software to make Aviation Declarations easy for over 15 years – initially providing an AOPA facility then creating OnlineGar.com

Comments

Your personal details such as email and mobile are stored on teh website under encryption. They will only ever be user to help you recover your password or in the case of breaches of terms and conditions of usage. They are only otherwise used as a key to download the Android apps and as a user name and pwd to run the apps.This avoids complex multi stage logins to websites.

Cookies

These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Data is not shared in any other way

How long we retain your data

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive details of the personal data we hold about you, This will simply be your registration details. You can also request that we erase any personal data. Clearly this will invalidate your use of the apps.

Where your data is sent

All your GAR /Gendec data is held only on the device on which you have installed the apps and on any personal cloud service. MyGar.net or OnlineGar does not store or have access to it. The GAR data is passed through our server only in the case of UK Border Force it is not seen, edited or otherwise manipulated by our servers. We cannot recover any files for you

Proof of Form Filing (UKBF) and Verification

You must only assume that a form has been filed correctly when you are in possession of a receipt number. This will be displayed on your list of GARs.

The status of your crew and passengers will also be displayed on the GAR receipt/result screen

With regard to this system, known as ‘permission to travel’ or the ETA system in UK, you are assumed to accept that it is the user as ‘commander’ who is responsible for all decisions and consequences. The software only relays information from the UKBF. It does not generate that information and is not responsible for its accuracy or its existence or absence. The pilot in charge aka commander has full responsibility for verification of the status of passenger  and crew carried. myGar.net is not an absolute source of verification. information and absence of information via myGar/Manifest6 does NOT constitute authority to travel. Particularly where there is unclear status or no information, further verification assistance can be obtained from the help lines run by UKBF as given in the Apps. A user or operations person cannot take on this verification responsibility on behalf of the commander.  The providers of this software do NOT provide ‘authorisation’ and are in no way responsible for any financial penalties which might arise from non verification or misinterpretation of information or any use of the software.

Acceptance of Terms

By using this service, you confirm that you are the Pilot in Command (PiC) or are authorised to submit on behalf of the PiC, and that you accept these Terms and Privacy conditions. You accept responsibility for all submitted information.

Always verify GAR receipt and acceptance before departure. Always check passport details 

Operational Disclaimer (Aviation Use)

This service is an operational assistance tool designed to help prepare and transmit General Aviation Report (GAR) information. It does not guarantee regulatory compliance, submission acceptance, or uninterrupted availability. Submission processing and acceptance are controlled solely by the relevant authorities and are outside the control of this service. Information relayed about travellers status is UKBF information and does not constitute an authorisation to enter UK . 

Users must independently verify GAR receipt and acceptance, and crew/passenger status prior to departure.

Pilot in Command Responsibility

The Pilot in Command, aircraft operator, or authorised submitting user remains solely responsible for:

  • Accuracy of all submitted data
  • Compliance with aviation, customs, immigration, and security regulations
  • Confirming successful submission of GAR forms
  • Making corrections or cancellations where required

Use of this software does not transfer operational responsibility.

Data Processing & Privacy

This service processes personal and operational data only for the purpose of GAR preparation and transmission.

  • Pilot, crew, and passenger details
  • Aircraft and flight information

GAR data is not persistently stored except for:

  • Temporary technical processing
  • Minimal operational logging
  • Security monitoring

Data is transmitted only when requested by the user and only to appropriate authorities. No personal data is sold or used for marketing purposes.

Users must ensure they are authorised to submit passenger and crew information.

Service Availability

The service is provided on a best-efforts basis. Availability may be affected by maintenance, infrastructure failure, or third-party outages. The service must not be relied upon as the sole method of regulatory compliance.

Disclaimer of Warranties

This software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and operators shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, consequential loss, regulatory penalties, operational delays, loss of data, or loss of revenue arising from the use of, or inability to use, this service.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, total liability is limited to £1.

Club, Group, Commercial Use and Fair Use

This service is primarily intended for personal use by private individuals operating light aircraft.

Use by flying clubs, aircraft syndicates, shared ownership groups, training organisations, or commercial operators is permitted only where:

  • each submitting pilot maintains an individual user account; and

  • the Pilot in Command remains exclusively responsible for all submitted information and consequent actions or decisions.

Organisational or commercial use involving:

  • multiple aircraft operations,

  • centralised dispatch or administrative submission, or

  • operational reliance on the service for regulatory compliance

may require separate permission or service arrangements.

Users must not:

  • submit excessive volumes of requests that may affect system performance;

  • use automated scripts, bots, or bulk submission tools without prior permission;

  • attempt to overload, stress, or degrade the service.

Where usage is considered excessive or impacts availability for other users, we reserve the right to:

  • rate-limit requests;

  • restrict or suspend access;

  • require alternative access or licensing arrangements for high-volume or organisational use.

Use of the service does not constitute provision of operational dispatch, compliance monitoring, or regulatory assurance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
